Pathos: My Dandelions
Lamps that light
A million lawn lanes,
You are my dandies
And my lion's delight.
I think of you
As the strength of the sun,
As the spray of land's gleam.
And I am warmed,
I am changed
By your simple bloom.
Someday before I die
I'll too bend like
Your slim dandied form
And bow before that light
That is only good
With mellow makings
Of think things in my
Silvered top.
