While Half-There
Rare is the scientist who is willing to inspect with his intel that immense distance that lies beyond the encounter of the first electron shell; to stroke-swim into that quadrillized virtual space (breaching and scintillating off each half-there particle in that region) and finally touch and know the vibrancy of the atom’s heart.
This has always been my quest since Star Trek, when I warped my mind (all by myself…it was easy) into space and beyond. This thrill, and no other, can manage to shake me so well toward the mean of my sanity. And the internet helps me achieve that wandering, even while I choose to help-stoop others toward this or that small child.
Addendum
There is an immense amount of space inside an atom, about 1 quadrillion times larger than the atom’s nucleus. And there is so much there in that space—well, half-there…
